Media Genesis Helps Launch a New Site for the Detroit Jewish News Foundation

Troy, MI, November 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Media Genesis, a leading internet services provider, worked with the Detroit Jewish News Foundation to launch a site that promotes the digital archive of more than 70 years of the Detroit Jewish News.

In 2002, a fire destroyed nearly all of the print archives of the Detroit Jewish News. In 2011, The Detroit Jewish News Foundation was formed to promote and preserve the Jewish News, and it began digitizing the microfilm archive. More than 260,000 pages have been made available online, including issues dating back to 1942.

Media Genesis designed the website, located at www.djnfoundation.org, to introduce visitors to the Foundation and the archive as well as bring together members and friends of the Detroit Jewish community to support the mission of the Foundation. The site tells the story of the Detroit Jewish News, highlights Foundation donors, and offers opportunities for individuals to get involved.

The archive is available to the public at no cost. This history of the Detroit Jewish community provides an invaluable resource for historians, educators, students, community leaders, and friends and family.

The Detroit Jewish News Foundation is a 501 (c)(2) nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Detroit Jewish News.

Media Genesis serves more than 300 companies and nonprofit organizations. An in-house team provides a wide range of services including app development, web design, search engine optimization, social networking, and design and development of e-learning systems, intranets and content management systems.
