Teddy Pierre Becomes Board Chair of Community Tampa Bay

Tampa, FL, September 21, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Teddy Pierre, President of The Pascall Company, has been named chairman of the Board of Directors for Community Tampa Bay, effective September 1. As chair, Mr. Pierre will preside over board meetings, work with the board members, executive committee and the executive director, Birgit Van Hout, to foster the growth of the organization and its mission in the Tampa Bay region.

Community Tampa Bay is a human relations non-profit organization that promotes dialogue and respect among all cultures, religions and races through education, advocacy and conflict mediation.

Mr. Pierre, whose management consulting firm helps companies manage human resources and diversity, has long been active in assisting the business and educational communities in recognizing and valuing the multiple cultures living in Tampa Bay. In 2006, he was a finalist for the Minority Business Person of the Year, sponsored by The Tampa Bay Business Journal.

A graduate of Harvard University, Mr. Pierre has over 20 years of human resources experience with Fortune 100 and 500 companies within the US and in Europe. He has been a member of Community Tampa Bay’s board of directors for five years and is currently a board member for the Hillsborough Education Foundation. In the past, he has served on the following boards – the Tampa Bay Black Heritage Festival, Florida Blood Services, Computer Coach Trust, and the YMCA of Greater Boston. He is particularly interested in helping the community’s youth. He has been a mentor in the “Take Stock In Children Program” and each year serves as an interviewer for prospective Harvard University students, offering mentoring and advice.

Mr. Pierre founded The Pascall Company four years ago because he saw the need in Tampa Bay for a management consulting organization which specializes in diversity. Its team of professionals has been very successful in assisting both local and national companies meet their strategic workforce and business objectives by providing a well defined suite of diversity specific services. Those include organizational assessment and consulting, training and retention, recruitment and multi-cultural marketing and branding.
