The Daily Planet Café Hosts 8th Annual Memories for Marcus Fundraising Event
Rocky Top Hospitality Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Supports Children of WakeMed Foundation with Holiday Toy Drive and Fundraiser
Raleigh, NC, November 27, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality, has announced that The Daily Planet Café will host the 8th annual Memories for Marcus toy drive and fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Through a donation of $20 to the Memories for Marcus fundraiser or by bringing in a new, unwrapped toy, customers will receive a delicious buffet meal courtesy of The Daily Planet Café. The event will also feature door prizes as well as a silent auction. All proceeds from the event will directly benefit WakeMed Children’s Hospital through the WakeMed Foundation. Following the fundraiser, all collected toys will be given to children hospitalized during the holiday season.
For the last eight years, Rocky Top Hospitality has supported the Memories for Marcus fundraiser, collecting funds and giving countless toys to local children at WakeMed Children’s Hospital, who range in age from infants to teenagers. Suggested toys may include any of the following: rattles, pacifiers, onesies, musical toys, movies, video games or journals.
