Harrison College’s RN to BSN Program Receives Prestigious National CCNE Accreditation
Private Sector College Earns Credentials from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for Its 21-Month Registered Nurse to Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing Program
Indianapolis, IN, November 28, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Harrison College, a private sector college serving more than 4,000 students worldwide, has received national accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) for the institution’s 21-month Registered Nurse to Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, or RN to BSN program. Officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency, CCNE helps to ensure the quality and integrity of Harrison College’s RN to BSN program. CCNE accreditation, which serves the public interest by assessing and identifying programs that engage in effective educational practices, demonstrates that Harrison College’s nursing program has met specific high standards and adequately prepares nurses for medical practice.
The Institute of Medicine (IOM) recommends that 80 percent of practicing RNs should carry a Bachelor of Science in Nursing by 2020. Harrison College’s degree-completion program provides practicing RNs with the opportunity to meet future medical standards, while receiving leadership and management training in a professional, hands-on health care environment.
The program, available at Harrison College’s Indianapolis–East campus and Online, builds upon core competencies and knowledge from previous academic nursing programs. Designed for working RNs, the Harrison College program offers a variety of benefits to current and prospective students, including more than $100,000 in available scholarships, hands-on experience and on-site academic support.
