Local Author Releases New Adventure as "Phantom Canyon"

Arlington, TX, December 01, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Retired Engineer/Author Joe Bob Newman has released his latest adventure thriller, "Phantom Canyon." It is available in both paperback and Kindle eBook from Amazon as well as Barnes and Noble (search for Joe Bob Newman). This historical novel will take you to the old Santa Fe Trail and lead you all through New Mexico.

"Phantom Canyon" is a western story about four brothers, one is lost in the canyon and the other three are searching for him, circa 1850. The youngest brother, Bucky is lost and running. Sam, the oldest brother, does not know whom his brother is running from or what might be chasing him. The bandits believe that the brothers are carrying gold and begin to chase the brothers. The U. S. Army Calvary is chasing the bandits.

Newman has a writing style that the action is nonstop and the story is exciting all the way to the booming climax.

Joe Bob Newman was born in 1947, and grew up in West Texas. He has been writing action and adventure novels since 1982. He has several books published. His thirty-five-year business career has been in writing technical documents for the defense industry. By profession he is a mechanical engineer P.E. (Retired). He lives in Arlington, TX, with his beautiful wife Linda and his loving mother-in-law. He is surrounded by a whole passel of Grand Kids. He has spent much of his free time in New Mexico studying Phantom Canyon. It really does exist.
