X-Treme XB-300SLA Electric Mountain Bike is a New Entry Level Option from UrbanScooters.com
X-Treme's new XB-300-SLA Electric Mountain Bike is an economical battery powered model now available from online electric bicycle and scooter dealer, UrbanScooters.com.
South Pasadena, CA, December 03, 2013 --(PR.com)-- X-Treme designers have come up with the XB-300SLA Electric Mountain Bike, engineered from stem to stern with quality in mind, all at an extremely attractive and affordable price.
“Though the XB-300SLA has been stripped down to the basics to make it one of the most affordable electric mountain bikes on the market today,” said Frank Minero, president of UrbanScooters.com, “it has quality made components that make it an ideal choice for budget minded yet quality conscious riders.”
This X-Treme electric bike is powered by a 300 watt brushless electric motor that can move riders to a top speed of 20 mph, with a 10-mile range (unlimited when pedaling, of course). The engine directly drives the bike at the rear wheel, so no chains or belts are needed.
Two 12 volt/12 amp SLA batteries provide the juice, activated by the handlebar mounted twist throttle. The battery unit is designed specifically for easy swap outs, and is composed of two sealed lead acid batteries that can be recharged in as little as 4-6 hours with the included smart battery charger.
The X-Treme XB-300SLA has a reliable 7-speed Shimano Tourney gear and shifter system, a TZX-31 rear dérailleur, and gearbox. Its rider can pedal all the time or, with a flip of the thumb, can activate the Twist and Go (TAG) system for that extra boost to make it uphill. The Pedal Assist (PA) mode has the motor coming alive after every 360 degree rotation of the pedals, making pedaling even easier.
The XB-300-SLA's 18” steel frame is complemented with steel forks with standard suspension. The lightweight aluminum alloy handlebars are responsive and allow the rider to easily perform tricks involving the usual twists, turns and jumps that one might encounter on a typical mountain ride.
This model weighs only 63 lbs., and can carry a rider up to 350 lbs. The high quality Kenda 26” x 1.95” tires, mounted on double wall alloy rims, grip the dirt well. A quick release front hub as well as a quick release sealed rear wheel hub motor is standard, allowing for easy storage and transport.
