Brent Brandow of Parkway SleepHealth Centers Named Town of Cary 2013 Hometown Spirit Award Finalist
Director Of Operations for Sleep Health Center Recognized at November Cary Town Council Meeting
Cary, NC, December 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Brent Brandow, director of operations for Parkway SleepHealth Centers, a comprehensive sleep health center and innovative leader in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders, has been named a Town of Cary 2013 Hometown Spirit Award finalist, along with five other Cary residents. The annual award was established in 2009 by the Cary Town Council and is given to a Cary resident who enhances the quality of life in their community by living out and promoting traditional small-town values.
To be nominated for the award, residents must actively demonstrate one or more of the following: helps out neighbors and fellow Cary residents, demonstrates hospitality, promotes and preserves traditional American past-times, shows a concern for preservation and works to preserve traditions and the small-town atmosphere in the community, promotes entrepreneurship through supporting locally owned businesses, promotes a sense of community in their neighborhood and all of Cary, demonstrates patriotism or serves the community through business.
A long-time resident of Cary, Brandow has deep roots in the community. He grew up in the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) and has continued to volunteer his time to help recruit and retain youth group participants. In addition, Brandow is a member of the Heart of Cary Association and a volunteer ambassador for the Cary Chamber of Commerce where he is responsible for mentoring new businesses as they are introduced to the Chamber’s programs and activities. Both organizations allow him to better support and patronize fellow Cary businesses.
