Nikkei Inc. to Organize One of the Largest Environmental Exhibitions in Japan, "Eco-Products 2013"
Tokyo, Japan, December 04, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Nikkei Inc. and the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry (JEMAI) will organize Eco-Products 2013, one of the largest environmental exhibitions in Japan to be held at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Tokyo Big Sight on December 12 (Thu) – 14 (Sat).
For the 15th event, 1,750 booths are now being prepared by around 750 companies and organizations, and 185,000 visitors are expected during the three-days. The theme of Eco-Products 2013 is “Shaping Our Future Now," which means aiming for a better future by reconsidering “now.”
Consumer electronics and daily commodities will be exhibited, alongside environmental products, services and materials such as chemicals and paper, as well as cutting-edge environmental technologies and solutions from energy, finance and other various fields. The latest environmental business information will be provided to people in the industry, and advice on environmentally conscious lifestyles to consumers. Exhibiting companies will showcase their CSR activities, while environmental NPOs, NGOs and citizen groups present their initiatives and the government and municipalities introduce their environmental policies. The event will also provide a venue to consider and promote the realization of a sustainable society through communication between exhibitors and attendees.
As the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme was introduced in Japan, renewable-energy businesses are showing signs of vitalization.
In this year’s exhibition, a renewable energy zone will be established for the first time, presenting exhibits and seminars about the latest trends and outlines of solar, wind, geothermal and biomass energy demonstration projects. Visitors will explore what will be possible when the next-generation energy is widely introduced.
Japanese local municipalities and industrial promotion organizations will have a specific zone to introduce their environmental policies and initiatives, while presenting locally-active environmental businesses. As for other theme zones, visitors will find a zone for forestry, a space for business discussions, and a presentation stage to support negotiations and transactions relating to environmental business.
Guided tours, various hands-on experience corners and workshops have been prepared to compliment the exhibits of the latest eco-products and environmental technologies. Tours of the exhibition will be offered to overseas visitors in English and Korean. In addition, attendees can enjoy various programs, such as experiencing rides around the outskirts of the venue in fuel cell and hybrid cars and other ecologically-friendly vehicles.
