Family Continues Legacy of Mattress Manufacturing Firm Founder

Hopewell, VA, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The widow and son-in-law of the late Winn Butterworth, are stepping up to continue the entrepreneur's company, Custom Comfort by Winn, Ltd. Cindy Butterworth, Winn's wife, has assumed the position of President and appointed their son-in-law, Justin Faison, to the position of Vice President. Dickie Roberts and Chuck Lynch will continue in their current positions as Vice Presidents of the company as well.

Custom Comfort by Winn, Ltd. is the maker of high end bedding products, including the Winndom mattress. Winn Butterworth established the company 25 years ago, after working for a national manufacturing company. Winn realized that building a mattress 'faster and cheaper' wasn't the way to give a customer a better night’s sleep. So he started on a journey to create an ideal sleep system and educate buyers on quality sleep products by founding Custom Comfort by Winn.

Cindy Butterworth is a veteran of the furniture industry, working previously as a manager and buyer for various retail furniture stores in the Richmond area. She has assumed the role of President after the sudden and unexpected death of her husband in early November. Winn and Cindy first met when Cindy was the manager of retail furniture store and Winn was a sales rep for a national bedding manufacturer. Since Winn founded Custom Comfort in 1988, Cindy has worked behind the scenes in marketing, and more recently establishing their presence on social media, as Winn was the face of Custom Comfort and the Winndom brand. “My most important job at Custom Comfort, Winn would always say, was ‘packing his parachute’ every morning.”

Justin Faison, son-in-law of Winn and Cindy, was formerly with an international mineral mining and manufacturing company, working in production and compliance. His plans for the mattress manufacturing company mirror that of his late father-in-law's. "Winn was committed to creating a quality product and standing behind it with outstanding customer service.
