Lyon Communities Gift Drive Benefits Orangewood Children’s Foundation

Orange County, CA, December 07, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Lyon Communities, recognized as one of the largest and most respected privately held multi-family real estate companies in Southern California, has launched their annual “Giving Back For The Holidays” campaign at 13 communities in Orange County. The drive will provide gifts for children and teens in foster care served by Orangewood Children’s Foundation.

“At this time of the year, there are many children who have been victims of abuse or neglect,” said Suzanne Maddalon, Senior Vice President of Operations for Lyon Communities. “The ‘Giving Back For The Holidays’ campaign allows our residents to experience the joy of sharing the Christmas spirit with these children.”

Lyon communities in Anaheim Hills, Cypress, Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Lake Forest, Placentia and Rancho Santa Margarita are participating in the “Giving Back For The Holidays” program. Residents who wish to participate can donate an unwrapped gift or gift card at their leasing center. Participants are asked to bring the unwrapped gift or gift card by Thursday, December 12, to ensure that all gifts are delivered on time.

Orangewood Children’s Foundation is one of the leading providers of services to current and former foster youth. Founded in 1981, today the Foundation helps over 1,500 children and teens each year with programs that prepare them for independent adulthood. Without the Foundation’s support and guidance, these children can become homeless, unemployed or incarcerated. Lyon Communities has supported the Orangewood Children’s Foundation for many years.
