SAPA 20th Anniversary Celebrations in Conjunction with the Presidents Forum and Health Care industry Forum in Beijing, China
Nanuet, NY, December 06, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Sino‐American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA) celebrated its 20th anniversary, in conjunction with the 4th SAPA Presidents’ Forum on October 20 and the 17th Healthcare Industry Forum on October 21-23, 2013 in Beijing, China. The theme of the event was “Celebrations of 20th SAPA Anniversary: Reflections, Insights and Inspirations.”
A delegation of 37 SAPA leadership team members, representing SAPA Headquarters, US Chapters, and the China Club, attended the celebrations and the forums. Among them were the present and past SAPA Presidents, members of the Board of Directors, and the Executive Council. The current SAPA President, Jiwen Chen PhD, opened the Presidents Forum and the celebration. SAPA members and VIPs with whom SAPA has had long-term partnerships reviewed the inception of SAPA, its mission statement, 20 years of history, and its fruitful collaborations with the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Beijing Pharma and Biotech Center, and other agencies and organizations. The participants also brainstormed about new initiatives for making next the 20 years and beyond equally successful.
The Chair of SAPA Board of Directors, Rick Xu PhD, gave a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the Healthcare Industry Forum. Recognized for its subject matter expertise and broad connections in industry, SAPA was privileged to invite two keynote speakers for the forum plenary session and organize sessions on “Drug Formulation and Delivery Development” and “Drug Reviewing and Registration.” In addition, SAPA members chaired, moderated, and presented in many other sessions. The SAPA delegation had in-depth exchanges with leaders of the Chinese pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, and also visited the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) to discuss further collaboration with the Agency. During the four-day event, the SAPA delegates reflected on past successes, gained new insights, and were inspired to bring SAPA to a new levels in the decades to come.
