International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) Holds Seminar on UV Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) at Imperial College of London
The International Ultraviolet Association is holding a seminar on the use of UV Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) at the Imperial College of London, on December 16, 2013. Learn more about AOPs and UV water disinfection.
Washington, DC, December 09, 2013 --(PR.com)-- On December 16, 2013, IUVA will sponsor a seminar, “Ultraviolet Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs): International Experience and Perspectives at the Imperial College, London, UK from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Cost is £300 for non-members and £225 for members. Exhibitor space and Sponsorships are available.
This will be an excellent opportunity to learn about actual use of AOPs to disinfect water supplies by destroying organic matter and specific micro-pollutants in water. Numerous case studies will be presented of UV AOP usage in the US, UK and Europe. A panel on industry experts will discuss the design of devices and equipment and pros and cons of advanced oxidation processes. There will be time for questions and answers after presentations.
Michael Templeton, Senior Lecturer, Imperial College of London and IUVA Vice President for Europe, Middle East and Africa, will kick off the seminar with a welcome and introduction. Karl Linden, Ph.D., President of IUVA remarked, “IUVA is pleased to be bringing together this international panel of experts in UV AOPs. Advanced oxidation processes have and will continue to play an important role in water treatment, specifically as freshwater resources become more stressed and sustainable water reuse grows out of necessity. The basic information and case studies highlighted in this seminar will provide attendees with the latest cutting edge advances in AOP technology and application.”
Highlights of the AOP conference include presentations from industry leaders, such as Wedeco, TrojanUV, Hazen and Sawyer and PWN Technologies. Scholars and water quality professionals are also participating in the program. Register online for the UV AOPs: International Experience and Perspectives seminar today.
