First-of-Its-Kind Adoption Event for Bonded Cats

“Me and My Shadow” Cat Adoption Event Will Place Best Friends Forever Together

Encino, CA, October 01, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Kitten Rescue is holding a special adoption event featuring over 25 pairs of cat buddies looking to melt hearts and find their forever homes.

The “Me and My Shadow” Cat Adoption Event will be held at the Encino Petco (17919 Ventura Blvd.) on Saturday, October 6 from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This first-of-its-kind event is sponsored by Kitten Rescue, Los Angeles’ largest no-kill cat rescue organization.

These kitties are some of the 1000+ cats currently living in Kitten Rescue foster homes. Only bonded pairs have been invited to attend the event – kitties that are Best Friends Forever and often caught cuddling, grooming and playing together.

“Sometimes, a cat will bond so closely with another cat in the same home that the foster parent will do everything to keep the pair together,” said Ben Lehrer, President of Kitten Rescue. “This event will feature a wonderful selection of these bonded pairs.”

Research has shown that cats which have a kitty companion are better socially adjusted and stay healthier. “We firmly believe that two cats are better than one,” said Lehrer. “Having two requires little additional care, and you get twice the love.”

Snacks will be served and each adopter will receive a gift bag filled with fantastic cat toys and food samples from Petco.
