Custom Home Builder Chris Ragland Inaugurated as HBA Board President for Kansas City
Homes By Chris owner Chris Ragland has been inaugurated as the new president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City. The celebration, which took place on December 4th, 2013 announced Ragland’s presidency as she stepped into the honorable position at the Home Builder’s Association.
Kansas City, MO, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Homes By Chris owner Chris Ragland has been inaugurated as the new president of the Home Builders Association of Greater Kansas City. The celebration, which took place on December 4th, 2013 announced Ragland’s presidency as she stepped into the honorable position at the Home Builder’s Association.
Ragland, along with her husband, founded Homes By Chris, a luxury home builder company, have been building and serving the community of Liberty, Missouri for over ten years. She has been a member of the Home Builders Association since 2004, and sat on the governmental affairs committee, by laws committee and held the position as Chair of the North council. Ragland has also served on the board of directors and held the role of secretary and treasurer, as well as the vice president of the executive committee.
Now the 69th board leader, 2014 president Chris Ragland has the experience and mindset needed to take on the role. With numerous award, including winning a total of 30 out of 33 entries in the Parade of Homes contest, a thriving business, and the leadership and commitment to serve her industry, the Home Builder’s Association knew no other candidate more qualified or well suited for the position of Board President.
Ragland looks forward to the new role as president, hoping to incorporate her in-field building experience and expertise with a business background, marrying the legalistic and practical sides of home building. She has identified five key points of interest which she aims to address during her presidency which include but aren’t limited to: addressing government affairs, educational programs, market information for members, networking among builders and associates, and fighting of unnecessary building codes and burdensome regulations.
