Classic Holidays Continues Support for Hannah’s Chance Foundation
Orlando, FL, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Classic Holidays, Australia’s premier Timeshare and Resort Management company, has announced it will again support leading sarcoma charity Hannah’s Chance Foundation in 2014.
This year Classic Holidays donated the top prize in a national fundraising campaign in conjunction with Shop-A-Docket – a six night holiday to Hawaii for a family of four, which raised nearly $10,000 for Hannah’s Chance.
In addition to over 100,000 entries received, Hannah’s Chance increased their subscriber base by more than 20,000, greatly improving awareness for their cause.
The funds raised contributed to research and awareness for sarcoma, an aggressive form of cancer that primarily targets young people aged 12 to 25.
Classic’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mark Stephenson, last month announced the Gold Coast-based timeshare company had committed to donating a prize again next year to Hannah’s Chance Foundation to run a similar fundraising campaign.
“Classic Holidays is pleased to continue its support of the Hannah’s Chance Foundation,” said Mr Stephenson.
“Their efforts in raising awareness and funds for research into this devastating form of cancer are to be commended.
“We had a great response to the campaign this year and we hope to do the same in 2014, to help this worthwhile charity continue their work for such an important cause.”
As well as raising much-needed funds for sarcoma research, this year Classic Holidays supported a number of not-for-profit organisations across the country in their fundraising efforts.
Over $4,000 was raised for the Townsville Hospital Foundation courtesy of a Classic Holidays getaway auction at the Townsville Ladies Race Day in July which was sponsored by Classic Escapes Townsville and The Coffee Club.
Additionally this year, Classic Holidays supported the national ATHOC Foundation, the PCYC network and Volunteering Gold Coast, as well as donating a holiday privately to a family in need.
