Bob Moore Construction Reaches Critical Milestone for Five-Story Parking Garage at Village on the Parkway in Addison, Texas
Construction of the new five-story parking garage for Village on the Parkway retail center in Addison, Texas reached a critical milestone when work crews placed the last piece of precast concrete.
Arlington, TX, December 12, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Village on the Parkway, owned by Lincoln Property Company (LPC), is an upscale retail center in north Dallas / Addison, Texas. With 40 stores and restaurants set in a retail community design, complete with tree-lined roads, water fountains and patios, Village on the Parkway serves more than 187,000 professionals who work in the local market every day.
As part of the Village’s development strategy, LPC recognized that a significant increase in the number of parking spaces would be necessary to support the shopping area’s growing customer base.
To meet this demand, LPC selected Bob Moore Construction to build a new multi-story parking garage following the general contractor’s successful completion of the 40,000 SF Whole Foods Market at Village on the Parkway earlier this year.
When completed, the new 216,793 SF garage will provide 622 new parking spaces over five stories. The facility will include interior lighting, emergency lighting, three elevators and three stairwells.
Construction reached a critical milestone in early December when work crews placed the last of the 565 pieces of precast concrete to form the structure of the parking garage.
“The project is progressing very smoothly,” said Jim Wheeler, Bob Moore Construction’s superintendent for the Village on the Parkway garage project. “We have a great group of subcontractors, most of whom we have known and worked with for many years. Our team has done an excellent job in building a quality parking garage structure on a challenging schedule.”
The new Village on the Parkway garage is scheduled for completion in spring, 2014.
