OmniBurst Media Announces Winners of Startup TV’s Video Pitch Contest
Three Startups with Creative Social Platforms win exposure on Startup TV’s Pitch Channel, a mobile channel dedicated to exposing new businesses to entrepreneurs, investors and marketers worldwide.
Ann Arbor, MI, December 13, 2013 --(PR.com)-- OmniBurst Media, a Michigan based company focused on developing niche-oriented television programming for mobile platforms, announced today the winners of its first Video Pitch Contest, a startup business pitch competition. Each of the three winners had eight minutes or less to pitch their startup or their products in a video for a panel of experts to review.
NeedTo achieved the Grand Prize and awarded featured video of the week on Startup TV’s Startup Pitch Channel, which is dedicated to exposing new businesses to entrepreneurs, investors and marketers worldwide in their search for funding, sales, or other promotional endeavors related to their startup. The other two winners, LikeYourLiquor and BullySpot, were also awarded exposure on the channel.
Startup Channel Featured Grand Prize Winner -- NeedTo is a tech startup dedicated to transforming the local service economy and ending unemployment by providing a marketplace for people to post jobs and freelance servicers and laborers to post profiles and respond to work requests. It donates 10 percent of the proceeds to non-profit job training programs.
Startup Pitch Channel Winner -- LikeYourLiquor is an internet and mobile startup dedicated to craft spirits. It solves the problem of an overwhelming amount of liquor choices by guiding users in understanding the ingredients, distillation process, the how-to in mixing and where to find the liquor locally.
Startup Pitch Channel Winner -- BullySpot is a mobile startup proposed to help children anonymously report bullying to school officials. If successfully developed, it would provide bullying incident data, which could be used to support initiatives fighting its insidious influence both locally and nationally.
The video pitch judges included David Lin, CEO of the Ann Arbor-based mobile loyalty card tech company Flocktag, and Bill Mayer, the Director of Business Accelerator at the economic prosperity organization SPARK, as well as other experts from the entrepreneurial world.
