New York, NY, December 17, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Sketch comedy duo, Temple Horses, is proud to release its 9th sketch of the year following their Friars Club Comedy Film Festival award on their Youtube channel.

The trailer for "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" is coming to http://www.youtube.com/templehorses on Thursday, December 19, 2013 (in limited online release at midnight, Wednesday, December 18, 2013). In this bang-bang-shoot-'em-up retelling of the age-old story, Grandma’s untimely holiday demise is the centerpiece for a gripping, revenge thriller. Actor Ryan E. Hoffman, who portrays David in the film, said, “When I got the call from my agent to do this movie, I was a little skeptical, but when I met Mikel, I knew I couldn't refuse. He brings such passion to his work, it's hard to say no. He brought me to his office and showed me the storyboard for a karate fight with Santa on a rooftop, and I knew right then this was the best action movie of the decade.”

Director Mikel Kramer, renowned for his work in the award-winning film Man With Gun, became emotional and reflective when discussing the project. "I felt a strong connection to the story of Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer. I always wondered about how I would feel if my grandmother was killed in this way. I imagine I would feel grief, of course, but also anger. Who is training these reindeer? Who is teaching them to run over grandmas? So, I understand the characters need to find answers to this important question and ultimately take revenge." Kramer, a French filmmaker with an extensive resume, is represented by UTI.

Actors affiliated with the project have largely been reluctant to respond to criticism from PETA. However, Nicholas Ruggia (who plays Ricky), known for being outspoken about his projects, acknowledged, "When I arrived onset, I was a little concerned about all of the violence against reindeer that the script called for. I was more concerned when I discovered we would actually be killing reindeer. But after a lot of soul-searching, a large contract and a rigorous sleep-deprivation and re-education program provided by the producers, I feel no remorse for my actions as chronicled in this film."

"Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer" is produced by Temple Horses, and is expected to play to large audiences with broad appeal in Japan and Nova Scotia.
