Soldier Starts Crowdfunding Campaign to Help Employ Veterans
Alec Haggerty, a Sergeant in the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood Texas, started a crowdfunding campaign for his business, EcoGrunt Home Improvement, to help provide jobs for veterans.
Killeen, TX, December 24, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Alec Haggerty, is a Sergeant in the U.S. Army assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood Texas. Haggerty started a crowdfunding campaign for his business, EcoGrunt Home Improvements, a "Green" construction and remodeling company dedicated to hiring his brothers in arms. Haggerty got his idea while driving past an armed forces staffing agency. "I was shocked when I saw a huge line coming out of the place," he says, "There is no reason why the men and women who served this country should be unemployed."
Haggerty decided to help by starting a business dedicated to hiring veterans. "I know I can't help everyone but maybe if I do this it will start a chain reaction."
