Jaffe and Asher Appoints CEO
New York, NY, January 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Jaffe & Asher LLP is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2014 Chief Operating Officer, J.D. Rainey, shall assume the position of Chief Executive Officer of Jaffe & Asher (aka J&A) in charge of all business affairs reporting directly to the firm's founding partner, Sanford S. Asher. No one, as yet, has been appointed to replace Mr. Rainey as COO but Mr. Rainey has said he "expect(s) to make his choice from the firm's existing management."
After graduating from the University of Delaware, J.D. started his career more than 10 years ago in the financial services industry in various positions at MBNA, Loan to Learn and Axiant. He joined J&A in January 2010 as a consultant who was soon hired as COO, and, as such, he successively put together an extraordinary management team, which includes some of the best and most respected leaders in the industry. He developed with Jeffrey Tseng, J&A’s Director of Technology, the firm's account and vendor management software known as JAWS; and has initiated J&A's recent strategy of building footprint offices in a number of states, including NJ, CT and PA which are already open for business.

Lawrence M. Nessenson, J&A’s Managing Senior Partner, shall continue to be the attorney in charge of all legal affairs. Mr. Nessenson and Mr. Rainey shall co-manage J&A in accordance with the above division of responsibilities reporting directly to Mr. Asher.
