CASO Named NYSID Corporate Partner of the Year Award for 2013
This Award Recognizes CASO’s Employment of People with Disabilities
New York, NY, January 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- CASO Inc. today announces that NYSID has awarded CASO their Corporate Partner of the Year Award for 2013. CASO employee Chantal St. Clair who has a hearing disability was also recognized by NYSID as the Employee of the Year for 2013.
CASO believes strongly in NYSID's mission and demonstrates this by continually hiring workers with disabilities for its private-sector contracts. CASO employs workers from NYSID member agency Fedcap Rehabilitation Services in Manhattan to provide document scanning services to digitize paper, invoices, engineering drawings, medical records and charts, microfilm, microfiche, aperture cards, and books - all of which streamlines processes and reclaims office space so that government agencies can provide greater value at a lower cost to constituents.
Together with NYSID and Fedcap, CASO has provided document scanning services under contract for numerous New York agencies, including: the New York Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Health, Business Integrity Commission, CUNY Central, and Bronx Community College.
"We're very honored to be the NYSID Corporate Partner of the Year for 2013," reflected Richard Tamaro, CEO of CASO. Tamaro went on to say, "We’ve been working with Fedcap and NYSID now for over seven years. In that time, we've worked for 17 New York City agencies, scanning and processing over 40 million documents, which equates to 20,000 bankers boxes and up 32,000 square feet of reclaimed space once required to store them. This part of a long-term relationship that we hope will go on for another 10, 20 or 30 more years. We thank NYSID, for this opportunity."
"My paycheck means a lot to me, not only money or dollars and cents. It means I am successful and that I can do anything," said Chantal St. Clair, the CASO employee awarded the NYSID as the Employee of the Year for 2013. St. Clair went on to say, "I can pay my bills and take care of my family. I can travel, and I can succeed and be independent. The Employee of the Year Award makes me feel that I can continue to work and be successful."
"Chantal is the perfect example of the people we serve. More than that, Chantal show us the way to go," said John Mastrull, Director of Production Services for FedCap. Mastrull added: "She is a hard worker and we've had nothing but glowing reports about her, from her productivity standpoint, from her quality standpoint and from her work ethic standpoint. She is what we all strive to be. On behalf of everyone here at Fedcap, I want to congratulate not only Chantal but CASO on the Corporate Partner of the Year and the Employee of the Year Award. We look forward to many more happy partnerships through the years."
