Supporting Sheriff Joe and His No-Kill Animal Shelter
Sheriff Joe Arpaio Speaking to Residents at Meridian RV Resort.
Apache Junction, AZ, January 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Meridian RV Resort is pleased to host a fundraiser on Thursday, January 23, 2014 to help support Sheriff Joe Arpaio's efforts with his MASH charity. Arpaio's no-kill animal shelter, MASH, was created to house and care for dogs, cats and horses that have been abused or neglected by their caretakers and rescued by the Animal Crimes Investigations Unit. The animals are then trained and cared for by inmates then placed for adoption.
The purpose of the shelter is to provide a safe, healthy and healing shelter for these tragic animals, who must necessarily await the outcome of their owners' cruelty cases in court. Arpaio hopes their ultimate outcome will be adoption into loving, permanent homes.
Meridian RV Resort will raise money for MASH by selling tickets to a luncheon where bologna sandwiches, chips and soda pop will be served. Due to the expected turn out the event will be held at Meridian RV Resort’s neighbor community Pueblo Manor located at 834 S Meridian Rd. Sherriff Joe is scheduled to speak at 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm.
