Senior Geomatics Manager Joins McKim & Creed

Houston, TX, January 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- McKim & Creed, Inc., an engineering, geomatics (surveying) and planning firm with offices throughout the U.S., announces that Michael Hoover, RPLS, LSLS, CFM, has joined the company’s Houston office as a senior geomatics manager.

Hoover has extensive experience as a boundary surveyor and is well versed in both statute and case law and their application to Texas boundaries. As a Licensed State Land Surveyor, he is qualified to survey upland and coastal boundaries in which the State of Texas has an interest. Hoover is also a Certified Floodplain Manager, and has extensive knowledge of FEMA policies and procedures with regard to elevation certificates and letters of map change.

Hoover attended the University of Houston and is an active member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, where he served as president of Local Chapter 9, chair of the 2010 state convention, and managing editor of the Journal of the Gulf Coast Surveyor. He is also a member of the Texas Surveyors Foundation, Inc., and the USS Howard W. Gilmore Memorial Association. Prior to joining McKim & Creed, Hoover worked as chief surveyor and director of surveying for Benchmark Engineering Corporation.
