Whole Foods Backs Triple-Certified Organic Company with Loan

Whole Foods uses its Local Producer Loan Program to support USDA triple-certified Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care.

Denver, CO, January 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Whole Foods has selected Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care to receive one of its loans through the company's Local Producer Loan Program. Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care is the only skin care company in the world with triple USDA certification, of her farm, laboratory and Balancing Toner.

Whole Foods promotes its Buy Local campaign through the Whole Foods Market Local Producer Loan Program. As expected, the company sets forth rigorous standards that applying producers must meet. In order to qualify, companies must meet Whole Foods Market's list of Quality Standards, which the USDA certification allows Lily Farm Fresh to do. They must also be located within 100 miles of a Whole Foods.

The purpose of the program is "to support small producers who need a hand, not a handout, to help them make their dreams reality." The program provides local food artisans and farmers up to $10 million in low-interest loans.

Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care plans to use the loan to upgrade its packaging. The new packaging will better reflect the impeccable quality of the organic skin care found inside. It will also showcase the USDA-certified organic farm where ingredients for the products are grown.

Founder and formulator Lily Morgan has, literally, bet her farm on this repackaging. Well, farm equipment anyway: She had to put up her two tractors, Bobcat and Chipper, as collateral for the loan. Morgan is confident in using her farm equipment to secure the loan because she truly believes the new packaging will allow customers to easily recognize the benefits of the natural beauty skin care line.

"Whole Foods support is amazing, to think a 13 billion dollar a year company is investing in our little farm is incredible, we could not be more pleased. It is clear, Whole Foods really wants to help us small organic growers, American manufacturers, and sustainable companies like us," states Lily.

Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care is the original pioneer of organic skin care in Colorado. Lily Morgan has been handcrafting purely natural skincare products since 1986. "We were organic before organic was cool," Lily says. Her motto allows customers to buy organic skin care directly from the USDA certified organic grower, one who grows the ingredients on her own USDA-certified organic farm near Brighton, CO. The quality products are made fresh in the USDA-certified organic laboratory.

Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care is available at Vitamin Cottages and Whole Food Markets in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico as well as on their website www.lilyfarmfreshskincare.com.
