Fieldturf Announces 2013 Fieldturf Coach and Team of the Year Football Awards

Indianapolis, IN, January 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- FieldTurf announced the winners of its 8th annual FieldTurf Football Awards for the 2013 season today just after the conclusion of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Convention in Nashville. Winners were announced in 19 different categories.

This year’s winners are:

NFL Coach of the Year – Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs
NFL Team of the Year – Seattle Seahawks
NCAA FBS Coach of the Year – Mark Dantonio, Michigan State University
NCAA FBS Team of the Year – Florida State University

NCAA Division 2 Coach of the Year –Adam Dorrel, Northwest Missouri State University
NCAA Division 3 Coach of the Year - Lance Leipold, University of Wisconsin - Whitewater
CFL Team of the Year – Saskatchewan Roughriders
NAIA Team of the Year – Grand View College
Junior College Team of the Year – Iowa Western
National High School Team of the Year – Bellevue (WA)
Southwest High School Team of the Year – Cedar Hill High School (TX)
Northwest High School Team of the Year – Bellevue (WA)
Midwest High School Team of the Year – Brainerd High School (MN)
Northeast High School Team of the Year – St. Joseph Regional High School (NJ)
Southeast High School Team of the Year – Booker T. Washington High School (FL)
Great Lakes Region High School Team of the Year – Naperville Central High School (IL)
Metro High School Team of the Year – St. Joseph Regional High School (NJ)
Mid-Atlantic High School Team of the Year – Middletown High School (MD)

The FieldTurf Coach of the Year Awards recognizes a coach’s dedication and hard work both on and off the field. The coaches that have been and will be selected for this award all exemplify outstanding leadership skills and enjoy well-deserved success. Special attention is given to coaches who are able to significantly improve their team’s effort, performance, and overall record from previous years along with coaches who enjoy success with young and inexperienced teams.

The FieldTurf Team of the Year Awards acknowledges teams at all levels of sport that show a passion for the game along with dedication to team play. The teams that will be selected for this award will be teams that have enjoyed success and/or made considerable improvements from previous years within their respective leagues.
