Energy Specialist to Present Case Study at Conference for American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
Des Moines, IA, January 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Weidt Group®, an energy and software consulting firm, has announced that Jason Steinbock, principal and senior energy analyst in the Des Moines office, will speak during a seminar at the ASHRAE 2014 Winter Conference. The event will take place Sunday, Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Rendezvous Trianon room at the Hilton New York, located at 1335 Avenue of the Americas in New York City.
The seminar is titled “Design to Ensure Building Performance with a Comprehensive M&V Process: A LEED® Platinum Case Study.” Steinbock will speak about incorporating calibrated energy models into the Measurement and Verification (M&V) process. With two years of operational data available, this case study will explore how the M&V process helps the team evaluate the performance of the building by comparing it to the design intent, verifying how design elements perform in real life, investigating new energy saving opportunities and educating occupants on energy efficiency. Together, this full-circle process tracks the long-term performance of this LEED Platinum building.
Steinbock, an ASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modeling Professional, leads the M&V team at The Weidt Group, providing services to verify energy performance goals have been met.
