Maia Morrison Receives VABR Lifetime Achievement Award
Accomplished Realtor from RE/MAX Platinum Realty in Venice, Florida, Earns Prestigious Award
Venice, FL, January 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Maia Morrison, a Broker-Associate in the RE/MAX Platinum Realty Venice office, has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Venice Area Board of Realtors. The award recognizes her long successful career and the contributions she has made and continues to make to the real estate profession.
Morrison joined the Venice Area Board of Realtors in 1976 and immediately became involved as a volunteer. She was the board’s 1987 president, was a past Realtor of the Year, and is currently serving a two-year term as Treasurer. Over the years she has served on many committees and has chaired several of them, including the Finance Committee. She has helped raise funds for the board’s Habitat for Humanity activities and scholarship fund for high school seniors, and contributes to the Children’s Miracle Network as a RE/MAX agent.
A long-time Venice area resident, Morrison owned her own real estate company before joining RE/MAX Platinum Realty. She holds the Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB) and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR) designations.
“No one is more deserving of this award than Maia,” said RE/MAX Platinum Realty Broker-Owner Bryan Guentner. “Her volunteer efforts demonstrate her commitment to our industry and community.”
