2014 Long Term Care Insurance Costs Reported in New Association Video

Options and costs for long term care insurance purchased by a typical couple are explored in a new video produced by the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance.

Los Angeles, CA, January 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The typical couple considering long term care insurance can learn about costs and options by watching a brief consumer video posted online today by the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance.

"The goal is to provide people with a quick look at their options and an understanding of what long term care insurance costs today," says Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Long Term Care Insurance. "For most people, cost is their number one question followed by are their ways to reduce the cost of long term care insurance protection."

The Association created the video utilizing information from the just published 2014 Long Term care Insurance Price Index. "This video focuses specifically on a typical 60-year-old couple," Slome notes. The average age when individuals buy long term care insurance protection is around 57 according to AALTCI.

"The video explains our 'Good, Better, Best' approach to considering long term care insurance protection," Slome explains. "Today there are many ways to tailor this important protection to lower current costs and yet have the potential to meet future needs."
