"THE BEST LAID PLANS" Named MARSocial Author of the Year Competition Finalist

Marcellus, NY, January 21, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In November 2013, MARSocial launched an Author-of-the-Year competition. All genres were invited to participate. The authors involved in the competition are promoting each other by tweeting and re-tweeting their own and every other author’s excerpts. The goal is to bring awareness to both the social medial site and their books. Over 250,000 individual tweets promoting the international authors have been going out so far, making this the largest author competition ever launched on the internet. The competition is presently in the Finals stage.

James McAllister of Marcellus, NY entered his first book, "THE BEST LAID PLANS, Birth of the Starclan." This Fortiter Publishing book has been named a Finalist in The MARSocial Author of the Year Competition.

This competition has attracted the interest of media outlets world wide, from California to New York to Great Britain to Pakistan.

The winner and the 20 runners-up will be announced on February 1, 2014. MARSocial, in conjunction with KeeranVaani Creations International Film Producers, will present the M.A.R.S. Author of the Year Award at that time. The winner may see their book made into a feature film.
