Two More Hospitals Receive Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission Thanks to Accelero Health Partners
Accelero Health Partners helps two more hospitals to receive Disease-Specific Certification for their Orthopedic Service Lines.
Canonsburg, PA, January 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Providence Portland Medical Center and Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, both located in Portland, Oregon, recently earned the Gold Seal of Approval from The Joint Commission for their hip and knee joint replacement services, thanks to help from Accelero Health Partners.
These hospitals began this comprehensive process last spring, when they met Accelero Health Partners’ Jenna Desormier. Jenna guided each facility through the process, and prepared for the exhaustive site visits to follow from the Joint Commission.
“Jenna’s work and our best-in-class process unified the teams involved toward a common goal,” said Michelle Bianco, Vice President, Operations, Accelero Health Partners. “They learned a lot along the way and they can now celebrate their prestigious honor.”
In a competitive healthcare environment, healthcare providers are always looking for ways to distinguish their service line from competitors. Receiving designation as a Center of Excellence can go a long way toward achieving that goal, and is a way of recognizing stellar results, practices, research, support or training. In the world of orthopedics, there is no national standard or governing body that manages or regulates Centers of Excellence, meaning orthopedic practices and facilities seek differentiation through third-party endorsements from industry leaders and/or payer organizations. Accelero brings the skills and experience to manage a certification process from start to finish.
Accelero is a market leader in helping hospitals achieve highly impactful third-party designations and certifications. To date, Accelero has achieved a 100 percent rate of success in garnering third-party certifications, with 33 facilities obtaining Joint Commission Disease-Specific Certification and 50 hospitals achieving Blues Distinction.
Congratulations go to The Portland Medical Center and St. Vincent Medical Center on this major achievement, and to the dedicated team at Accelero.
