Rochester, NY, January 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- 4U Productions presents Just 4U Creative Cake Design and Celebrations Expo featuring Food Network celebrity pastry chef judges, Gale Gand, The "Cakediva®" Charmaine Jones, and Heather Saffer, and rounding out the judges' panel is instructor and restaurateur Chef Gerry Brinkman.
4U Productions proudly announces Rochester’s first Just 4U Creative Cake Design and Celebrations Expo, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Rochester Museum and Science Center Eisenhart Auditorium, 657 East Avenue in Rochester, New York. This sweet challenge begins at 1:00PM.
Armed with frosting and fondant, amateur and advanced bakers from throughout Western New York will create edible works of cake art to be judged by Food Network television personalities: nationally acclaimed pastry chef, Gale Gand, celebrity cake designer The CAKEDIVA® Charmaine Jones, and season four winner of Cupcake Wars, Heather Saffer. Rounding out the judges’ panel is Monroe Community College culinary instructor and restaurateur, Chef Gerry Brinkman.
4U Productions founder and CEO, Alicia Bell-Hill designed this event to provide a sugary platform for aspiring pastry chefs. These sweet genius newcomers gain exposure and insight from some of the top industry professionals. “4U Productions’ goal is to give individuals who dare to NOT only dream but believe and achieve, the opportunity to make their dreams a reality,” says Bell-Hill.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Center for Youth Services’ “Strings for Success” program, in collaboration with the Dr. Charles T. Lunsford School in the Rochester City School District. The program gives interested students in grades 3-8 the opportunity to study violin regardless of ability or academic performance. The program is supported by volunteer instructors and donations from the Greater Rochester community.
Just 4U Cake Decorating Competition calls for competitors’ in teams of 3, ages 12 years and older to transform layered confections into creations inspired by life celebrations, such as weddings, graduations, anniversaries, championships, honorary occasions, and more. This event will include live music and more. 4U Productions will award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize-winners in various categories as well as one overall grand prize.
