Remington College Cleveland Campus Receives Award for Cosmetology Program
Program receives an “Excellence in Education” award from Modern Salon.
Cleveland, OH, January 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Remington College Cleveland Campus has received a national award for its cosmetology program. The program is one of the honorees in Modern Salon’s 2013 Excellence in Education awards, which recognize leadership and best practices among cosmetology schools.1
The cosmetology program was honored in the Community Involvement category.
“We are proud to be one of the Modern Salon honorees,” said Gary Azotea, President, Remington College Cleveland Campus. “Giving back to the local community is one of our top priorities and an important part of our curriculum.”
The Remington College Cosmetology Diploma Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Much of that hands-on training comes through promotions offering free salon services for the community.
Cuts for Kids is one such program, providing complimentary back-to-school haircuts for kids. In 2013, the Remington College Cleveland Campus cosmetology program provided more than 230 free haircuts through Cuts for Kids. High school students can look their best for the prom at no cost through Remington’s Prom Night Makeover promotion, and the campus provides free haircuts in November to people who donate to a canned food drive to help feed the hungry.
Hundreds of cosmetology schools from across North America competed in the Excellence in Education program across eight categories, ranging from marketing to placement to school culture.
