Full-Service Insurance Agency Expands Market Presence in Western North Carolina Through Purchase of Lenoir-Based Agency
Jacksonville, NC, January 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Don Mills, president of SIA Group, a full-service insurance agency with nine offices throughout North Carolina and in Blacksburg, Va., has announced that the firm has purchased Parkway Insurance Services, a longstanding home, auto, health and business insurance agency located in Lenoir, N.C. Led by former Parkway Insurance President Todd Perdue, Parkway Insurance will now operate as SIA Group’s 10th office.
With the acquisition, SIA Group can expand its one-of-a-kind risk management services and improved bottom-line results to another area of the state through Parkway Insurance’s excellent longstanding client relationships in Caldwell County.
Perdue will lead the office in Lenoir as manager. A 26-year veteran of the insurance industry, he has specialized in manufacturing, governmental entities and hospitality-related clients. In addition to his professional affiliations, Perdue has served as a member of the Lenoir City Council since 2003, and also currently serves as a member of the Caldwell County Railroad Commission and the North Carolina League of Municipalities Tax and Legislative Committee, and as chairman of Helping Hands Clinic Board of Directors.
