Mill Creek in Geneva Lights Up for the Holidays - Announces Holiday Lighting Contest Winners
Geneva, IL, January 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Shodeen Homes has completed the second annual Holiday Lighting Contest in its Master Planned community Mill Creek in Geneva.
“We love to support the community feel that is so prevalent in Mill Creek in any way we can,” said Nathan Amidon, Director of Sales for Shodeen Homes. “We challenge the homeowners to do the very best they can to light up Mill Creek. This year, the response was overwhelming and the competition was fierce. Homes were lit up, coordinated to music and the community looked beautiful.”
This year’s winner, Gary and Jean Johnson had nearly every inch of their home exterior lit with white lights. “We are glad to see the community come together with this contest,” Gary said. “We love doing it and it really makes the neighborhood look spectacular during the holidays.”
Shodeen awarded prizes for first, second and third place this year, using a combination of Facebook votes and community dignitaries to complete the judging. The second place winner was Tammy Chiovari and the third place winner was Chuck and Teri Wankat.
Mill Creek has become a destination for those who love to look at holiday lights and decorations. Community developer Shodeen Homes has been building this 2,356-home community since 1994 and has only five percent of the community remaining to sell. “There is something for everyone here, from low maintenance Village Homes and ranch floor plans to two-story single family semi-custom and custom homes,” Amidon says. “We cater to all lifestyles and believe a home is much more than a structure on a lot, it’s the community that makes it home.”
