Bringing a unique blend of Kathleen Spencer's piano compositions, Burning Flames is a piano rock/ballad album showcasing her sultry, smoky vocals. Prior to the release of this album, Kathleen Spencer was known for her solo piano instrumentals. Her first album, "Explorations" was released in 2002 and has become well-known around the world for its originality, soothing and healing properties. Inspired throughout her childhood by the likes of George Winston and David Lanz, Kathleen creates her music from the heart, each note and lyric inspired by her own life experience.
Moving from solo piano to incorporating her writing talent by creating beautiful and poetic lyrics was a natural step. Inspired by life experiences as well as the music of Augustana, her voice has come out of the shadows and is stunning to hear. From smoky and sultry to rockstar quality with hints of a girl next door sweetness, Katsember is emerging as one of the next musicians to watch.
In addition to creating and releasing her albums, Kat takes part in online music competitions, has her work used in video and film productions and has written new original songs for two novels. Her future plans include bringing her music to the stage.
