William Peace University Names Michelle L. Day Director of Financial Aid
Local Four-Year Baccalaureate Hires Financial Administrator with More Than 25 Years Experience.
Raleigh, NC, January 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced the hiring of Michelle L. Day as Director of Financial Aid. In this position, Day will be responsible for the overall administration of financial aid programs and will provide leadership and effective management to ensure compliance with all federal, state and institutional financial aid program policies and regulations. Day will also develop policies and procedures that will govern the Office of Financial Aid and will manage the student financial aid and operating budgets.
Day has been a financial administrator since 1987, having worked at the University of Utah, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and most recently Campbell University. Additionally, she served as a Trainer, Consultant, Project Manager, and Product Manager for Ellucian, a company that develops software and provides services for higher education management, where she primarily worked with the North Carolina Community College System.
Day is a member of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) and the North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NCASFAA), and outside of her profession, participates in Habitat for Humanity, Relay for Life, and Girl Scouts.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT., and resides in Cary, N.C. with her husband.
