Lansing Home Builders Association Names Michael Flory of Custom Built Inc. as 2014 Board of Directors President
Lansing, MI, February 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing is pleased to announce the selection of Michael Flory as the new President of the Board of Directors for 2014.
Born and raised in Michigan, Flory, co-owner of Custom Built Inc. in Okemos, Mich., is a self-proclaimed adventurer and risk taker with the endless energy of an entrepreneur.
“We are excited to have Michael as our board President this year,” said Cindy Kosloski, Chief Executive Officer for the HBA of Greater Lansing. “Michael’s leadership and professionalism is unmatched. As a long-time board member, he has actively served on the Membership Committee since 2008. His honesty and high standards in the industry help us further our mission, one member at a time.”
Flory’s love for building dates back to his childhood. At the tender age of 12, he and his brother, Chris, built their first deck – the first of literally hundreds of building projects Flory has overseen since then.
A business owner since 2001, Flory’s first venture was as co-founder of Rockbuilt Construction, which grew to become the largest college loft-bed construction business in the Midwest. After selling Rockbuilt in 2004, he founded Custom Built Inc. which merged two years later with brother, Chris’ company, Finished Basements International, to become Custom Built Inc., specializing in Custom Built Basements and Decks.
Flory’s commitment to high-quality craftsmanship and excellent service is bolstered by his knowledge of business. Trained and graduated by the E-myth Mastery entrepreneurial program, he is a true entrepreneur who exemplifies the seven E-Myth disciplines of a business leader: enterprise, marketing, financial, management, client fulfillment, lead conversion and lead generation.
Flory continues to pursue his passion for business and personal development through life-long education. In addition to his five years of service on HBA of Greater Lansing’s Board of Directors, he has been the State Director for the HBA of Michigan since 2001. He is an active member of Lansing Trinity Church and has embarked on eight humanitarian and evangelical missions worldwide. Family, the great outdoors, hockey and soccer are among his many interests.
The Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing is a professional, non-profit trade association comprised of builders, remodelers, subcontractors and suppliers to the home building & remodeling industry. The HBA works to positively promote the building industry and impact legislative, regulatory and legal issues affecting housing affordability. To learn more visit, www.hbalansing.com.
