Dublin, Ireland, February 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Contemporary realist painter, Evgenia Espinoza, showcases a series of oil portraits titled Femininity in her debut solo show at Gallery 27 located at 27 South Frederick Street, Dublin 2. The show will be opened on February the 6th by the director of Open Window Gallery, Dierdre Irvine, at 6pm and will be on display until February the 11th. The show is a tribute to femininity and feminine energy- energy of love and creation- and can be previewed on the artist’s website- www.evgeniaespinoza.com.
“Each and every piece of this collection is a self-portrait in a way because it portrays a certain aspect of me and womanhood as a whole. It is not about the physical appearance but about the inner life of a woman shining through. Sometimes you can see it in the eyes, sometimes in a smile, sometimes it is almost unnoticeable, but so very present it haunts you,” says the artist, “It is not a cry to be noticed or understood, but rather a whisper saying 'I am a wind in your hair and a hand on your shoulder.' It is subtle and elusive and free to interpretation.”
The show will be curated by Tony Strickland, an independent visual art curator who has just completed his 21st exhibition at various venues in Dublin, which include the Crow Gallery, The Mad Art Gallery, Ranelagh Arts Centre, Conradh na Gaeilge and the Blackrock Market Cafe.
