Fourth Annual Valentine’s Vow Renewal and Wedding Celebration: Hosted by the Waters Edge at Giovanni’s

For four years, this ceremony has allowed couples in Connecticut to renew their marriage vows (or get married) free of charge. The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s provides a complimentary champagne toast, and an exquisite prix fixe dinner is available throughout the evening.

Since 2011, over one-hundred people have come to the Waters Edge at Giovanni’s to reaffirm their love. Guests enjoy all the adornments of a perfect wedding: picturesque floral arrangements, professional photographers - even a presiding Justice of the Peace. As Connecticut's Top Justice of the Peace, Mary C. Pugh has been recognized in the Top 5% of Officiants by Wedding Wire (2014) and received two Best of the Knot awards (2013, 2014). She has officiated the ceremony since its inception four years ago.

The ceremony, however, is just the beginning: a mouth-watering prix fixe dinner is the perfect accompaniment to renewed romance. Anyone is welcome to enjoy the dinner, and the ceremony is open to all kinds of couples: married, same-sex, even unmarried couples seeking a legal marriage. “We see couples young and old, traditional and same-sex - it’s a general celebration of love!” says second-generation owner JoAnn LaTorraca.

As an acclaimed wedding venue, the Waters Edge at Giovanni’s has hosted countless nuptial ceremonies. Over the last 26 years, the family-owned business has earned a reputation for its warmth and hospitality. “We simply couldn’t have been treated any better by the folks at The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s. Registration Details
Ceremonies will take place on Valentine’s Day - Friday, February 14th 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. To register, call 203-325-9979 or visit our website. On-site registration will be available, though space is limited and pre-registration is highly recommended.

Couples who pre-register will receive a personalized certificate signifying the renewal of vows from Justice of the Peace Mary C. Pugh.

Marriage licenses are not required for vow renewals, but are required for marriages. A marriage license can be obtained for $30 at Darien Town Hall, located at 2 Renshaw Road in Darien, CT. The office is open 8:30am to 4:30pm on weekdays, but getting there by 3:00pm is recommended.
