Circus Road Films Hails Down Midnite Cabby for a Hopeful Ride to Success
The strategic advisory film company, Circus Road Films, inks deal with Production Company, One Take Films to represent its latest comedy, "Midnite Cabby."
Long Beach, CA, February 04, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Circus Road Films has come aboard to represent “Midnite Cabby,” the new feature-length outrageous comedy from director, Rocky Costanzo, hitting the road in 2014. Circus Road Films has a long, solid history of representing independent feature films for the film festival circuit and securing distribution deals from established film distributors.
"It’s an important and much needed step in finding success for our film,” says Producer/Writer, Richard Meese. “After meeting with several companies, we feel we’re in good hands with these guys.”
Midnite Cabby is an outrageous, race-against-the-clock comedy about a guy who has to drive a taxi all night collecting fares from zany and colorful passengers from all walks of life, in order to bail out his careless brother who is being held captive in an abandoned warehouse over a gambling debt. Shot in a unique dialog-driven, sketch comedy style that flows in a different direction than the swarm of comedies of today, ‘Cabby’ reminds you more of the comedies from the 70’s and 80’s.
A deal between Circus Road and the film’s production company, One Take Films, was made after only one meeting in Hollywood. “We knew after that meeting that these guys understood the kind of film we had,” notes the film’s director, Rocky Costanzo. “They understood the style of comedy and they see a market for the film.”
