Try Out 20 CLC Boats and Meet Other Boatbuilders in Florida
Three in-water demonstrations set at rendezvous in Miami, St. Petersburg, and Merritt Island.
Miami, FL, February 06, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The team at Chesapeake Light Craft, the boat kit experts, will be heading south with a caravan full of kayaks, sailboats, and rowing craft so Florida small craft aficionados can touch, feel, and take a spin in one of the company's demonstrator models.
The public is invited to join the CLC crew on Saturday, February 15, in Miami; Saturday, February 22, in St. Petersburg; or Sunday, February 23, on Merritt Island, to try out twenty-some kayaks, canoes, SUPs, and small craft.
Boatbuilders who already have a CLC boat or two are encouraged to bring them along to show off. These demo days are also great opportunities to meet other small boat enthusiasts and builders and to spend some time with fellow wooden boat lovers.
The tour begins on Saturday, February 15, in Miami with a rendezvous at the Miami Marine Stadium off of the Rickenbacker Causeway. The following weekend, the team will set up on Saturday, February 22, at Gandy Beach off of Gandy Boulevard in St. Petersburg, and on Sunday, February 23, near Cape Canaveral on the beach at Kelly Park on Merritt Island, just off Bennett Causeway. All events are held 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. There is no fee to participate but reservations are appreciated; RSVP at clcboats.com/florida.
