Special Event Company Selected to Manage Two High-Profile International Conferences in 2014
Contracts Secured by Triangle Firm for Arizona State University Sustainability Festival and Paris Global Trading Issues Conference
Research Triangle Park, NC, February 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Sally Webb, CSEP, CEO of The Special Event Company, a strategic event and meeting management company, has announced that the firm has been selected to produce two global conferences scheduled for early 2014.
The Sustainability Solutions Festival, an initiative of the Rob and Melani Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives (a program within the Global Institute of Sustainability at Arizona State University), has partnered with GreenBiz Group and The Sustainability Consortium to develop a week of events that accelerate sustainability solutions. The weeklong Festival will take place Feb. 17-22, 2014 on the Arizona State University campus and surrounding areas of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona. This first annual Festival will feature the annual GreenBiz Forum and offers attendees the chance to collaborate with colleagues and discuss the ever-developing field of sustainability with top business executives.
The Special Event Company also has been selected to produce the second annual Princeton-Fung Global Forum, “The Future of Higher Education,” which will be held in Paris on April 9-11, 2014. Organized by the Council for International Teaching and Research, the Princeton-Fung Forums offer Princeton University scholars the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues around the world on topics of multidisciplinary significance. The inaugural forum was held in January 2013 in Shanghai, China. The forums are made possible by a donation from Trustee William Fung, Princeton class of 1970. Fung is chairman of Li & Fung, a Hong Kong-based multinational group of export and retail companies that manages the supply chain for retailers and brands in more than 40 countries. The 2014 forum, a partnership event between Princeton University and the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, will address the challenges universities face in multicultural societies and information-driven economies.
