Addison Homes -- a Greenville SC builder that specializes in new, custom green homes -- won the Southern Home & Garden Bridge Award for Green Building. Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greenville, the award honors Addison Homes as the best and brightest green builder in Upstate South Carolina.

Presented by the Home Builders Association of Greenville and sponsored by GBS Building Supply, the Bridge Awards program recognizes the best and brightest in the residential construction industry. Local builders and industry associates were honored in 24 categories, such as New Homes, Remodels, Special Features, Sales & Marketing, and Builder of the Year.
“It is a special honor to be recognized by one’s peers,” says Addison Homes President Todd Usher, who builds 100% of his new homes in Upstate SC to Energy Star, EarthCraft House and/or DOE Challenge Home standards. “We congratulate all of our colleagues who received Bridge Awards for their outstanding craftsmanship and professionalism.”
Addison Homes earned the Green Building Award for a Caesars Head home built to EarthCraft House Gold and Energy Star standards. The project incorporated an abundance of reclaimed materials, recycled-content supplies and energy-efficient systems while also utilizing resource-efficient building techniques. Other sustainable concepts included a tree preservation plan during construction followed up with all-native landscaping.
