GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Opens Registration for the 2014 Career Catalyst Institute
GlobaLinks Learning Abroad announces the opening of registration for the inaugural Career Catalyst Institute from August 5-9, 2014 on the University of Denver campus in Denver, Colorado.
Westminster, CO, February 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- GlobaLinks Learning Abroad, a leading provider of study abroad and internship programs across the globe, is proud to announce the opening of registration for the inaugural Career Catalyst Institute from August 5-9, 2014 on the University of Denver campus in Denver, Colorado.
Designed to bridge the transition between college and career, the GlobaLinks Learning Abroad Career Catalyst Institute will teach the vital skills students need to be successful in the advancing global workforce. The Institute’s multi-day program will expose participants to a variety of hands-on, real-world situations and provide practical applications to theories, intensive skill development workshops, experiential learning exercises, critical reflection opportunities, and presentations featuring leaders in the business, nonprofit, and education sectors.
“The GlobaLinks Career Catalyst Institute fills a great need to give students the ‘soft skills’ so desired in the global work environment,” said Cynthia Banks, executive director and CEO of GlobaLinks Learning Abroad.
The Institute is designed to complement resources that are available through many college’s Career Service offices by building off of the more personal exploration of interests and strengths, and decisions on majors, and focusing on tangible workplace skill development essential to any employee role.
“Research tells us that a gap exists between higher education and career preparedness. The Career Catalyst Institute fills that gap by providing a focus on tangible workplace skill development in a unique face to face, experiential environment. We know our participants will walk away with a strong basic skill set and a drive to be better employees,” said Carol Bowar, Director, Discovery Model Development and the Institute’s designer.

Note: Universities or programs that send four or more students will receive a discounted rate. Take advantage of our Early Bird Registration through April 15, 2014.
