Caribe Resort Hosts Chico's Fashion Show
Caribe Resort was the host location for the Chico's fashion show in Orange Beach, Alabama. Chico's provided a stunning array of new clothes, while the large audience enjoyed the catered lunch and perusing models.
Orange Beach, AL, February 14, 2014 --(PR.com)-- High fashion was shown at the Caribe Resort today as models showed off multiple weekend-casual outfits. Chico’s at Tanger Outlet partnered with Caribe Resort and Cobalt Restaurant for a unique fashion show luncheon.
Over 150 guests attended the fashion show where eleven of Caribe’s own winter guests modeled two outfits each. As the models were announced and outfits described in stunning detail, each model passed through the crowd so attendees could get a closer look at the fabric and accessories that made up each outfit. The outfits ranged from business casual to casual wear to dressy casual.
Rhonda Clifford, manager of Chico’s in Foley, Alabama has been a part of this fashion show from the beginning when it started five years ago at The Beach Club. She says that every year they have grown larger and larger and that this is their second year holding the fashion show at Caribe Resort. Guests were very pleased with the fashion show luncheon, with several commenting on how wonderful it was and how they hoped that it would take place again next year.
While this event was primarily attended by Caribe winter guests, it was open to anyone in the area and several guests were accompanied by friends.
For one of the models, there was even a special surprise. Karen Wehman and her sister Mary Lou have been attending the fashion show for the past few years together and this year, Karen was a model for Chico’s. Sadly, Mary Lou was unable to participate this year in person. She is at home battling cancer, but that didn’t stop her from making an appearance. With the help of Rhonda Clifford, Ashley Boykin-the group and event coordinator for Caribe Resort was able to video-call Ms. Mary Lou so she could surprise her sister and watch along with everyone else. When asked about the special moment, Karen responded, “Personally, I am so grateful to Ashley and Rhonda for arranging to have my sister here via Skype… Mary Lou was diagnosed with cancer in June. They were so saddened to realize she couldn’t make the trip.”
The Chico’s Fashion Show turned out to be a big hit with those in attendance, as well as sharing a special moment between sisters.
