James Austin as Head of Institutional Equity Trading

Hong Kong, Hong Kong S.A.R., February 18, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Parus Capital appoints James Austin as Head of Institutional equity trading, Hong Kong.

Parus Capital today announced it has appointed James Austin as Head of the Institutional Client Group – Equity, for Asia. Mr. Austin transfers to Hong Kong from New York Deutsche Bank where he headed up the Institutional Client Group – Equity, for North America.

Mr. Austin, also Global Head of Sales Execution Services, will be responsible for Parus Capitals institutional equity sales platform in Asia, which continues to rise in industry rankings.

Mr. Parker Mr. Austins new superior said: “Having previously worked in Asia and driven a tremendous period of growth for our North American equity sales business, James is the ideal candidate to lead our platform in the next stage of its development.

“Asia is the main focus for our global equities business, where we continue to invest and compound the strong progress that has been made to date.”

Mr. Austin joined Deutsche Bank in 1996 as Global Head of Asia Pacific Sales, after that he became the Bank’s Tokyo-based Global Head of Sales. Mr. Austin was then appointed Head of International Trading Sales in London – a role he subsequently combined with stock sales trading and electronic sales to become European Head of Execution Services. He moved to New York in 2009 as Head of the Institutional Client Group – Equity Sales, for North America and was given the extra role of Global Head of Execution Services Sales in 2010.

Working alongside Mr. Austin are Mark Hodson and Tom Cunningham, who will continue to be responsible for leading the equity derivative and equity and sales teams that make up Parus integrated equity sales platform.

Mr. Austin stated very recently that he is extremely happy to be taking on this new challenging role with Parus Capital in Hong Kong.
