Terramor Homes Donates $200,000 to Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center
Local Home Building Company Supports 20th Annual MIX 101.5 Radiothon Feb. 12
Raleigh, NC, February 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Terramor Homes, a local premier home building company in the Triangle, has announced that the company presented $200,000 to the MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center on Feb. 12. The total surpassed Terramor’s goal by $80,000. Carefully chosen last year to be the 2014 MIX 101.5 Radiothon Miracle Home Builder, Terramor Homes has worked through partnerships with its trade partners, local businesses, homeowners and families to achieve its goal. The MIX 101.5 Radiothon raised a total of $1,070,242.20 this year for the hospital.
Terramor drove donations through proceeds of the 2014 Miracle Home located within the Cameron Pond community at 744 Magalloway Drive in Cary, N.C., as well as a variety of events throughout the past year – including the Chippin’ For Children Charity Golf Tournament, a Family Fun Day at the home, a Sign-A-Stud event and more. The home is a part of Terramor Homes’ “Touch of Hope Program,” created to highlight the company’s service projects and organizations that make a difference in the local community.
Members of the Terramor team volunteered their time answering phones at the 20th Annual MIX 101.5 Radiothon on Feb. 12, during which they presented the donation check live on the air with Mike and Lynda in the morning.
The funds raised during the event will be used to further support the diligent work within the medical and surgical programs housed at Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center. This fundraiser is one of the few Children’s Miracle Network radiothons that structures the sponsorship so that every dollar raised goes directly towards meeting the needs of hospitalized children and their families. This annual event is the single largest fundraiser for Duke Children’s Hospital and Health Center, and it has raised more than $15.5 million in the past 19 years.
