Log Homes of America, Inc. Owner Serves as Local Home Builder Association President
Joel Robinson will serve in 2014 as the Ashe County (NC) Home Builders Association President.
Jefferson, NC, February 22, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Joel Robinson, President & Owner of Log Homes of America, Inc., has taken the reigns to serve as the Ashe County Home Builders Association (HBA) for the 2014 calendar year. Joel previously served as President Elect for 2013, and will serve as an officer through 2015, finishing his term as Past President next year.
“Joel has been intimately involved with the association since getting involved as an officer last year,” said Tammie Pruitt-Coffey, Executive Officer of Ashe County HBA. “He has brought many ideas to the table, especially in regards to the philanthropic activities of our HBA.”
Joel has been directly involved in the concept, planning, and execution of two major philanthropic activities of the HBA over the past year. His company donated materials and worked with other members of the HBA to build an 8’x8’ solid log playhouse that held a raffle to raise money for the HBA Scholarship Fund as well as Operation Finally Home, a non-profit agency building homes for wounded veterans and their families. Joel also assisted in building two Little Free Libraries with other members of the HBA that were donated to the Ashe County Public Library. These small libraries are set in rural locations in the County giving remote access to free books.
“Our company is blessed to be celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year,” says Joel, “it only makes sense for us to give back to our community and industry. It is an extremely rewarding experience to meet and know so many people involved in this town, county and region, and, this role allows me and our company to be at the forefront of the many issues facing our industry both locally and nationally.” As HBA President, Joel just returned from attending the North Carolina State Home Builders Association quarterly meeting in Raleigh, NC.
