LA Samba Dancers to Bring Brazil to Life at Local Carnaval Celebration
This year’s Brazilian Carnaval: World Cup 2014 will feature lively, cultural performances by Joany Macias and LA Samba Dancers.
Los Angeles, CA, February 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- As Brazil gears up for it’s most popular holiday, Carnaval, LA Samba Dancers and other world-class entertainers are getting ready to bring the sights, sounds, and excitement of the party straight to Los Angeles. The 14th annual local celebration, Brazilian Carnaval: World Cup 2014, presented by Brazilian Nites Productions will be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live from 8:00 p.m. on March 1 until 2:00 a.m. on March 2.
Drawing crowds of more than 2,500, this authentic, local celebration is the largest Carnaval party experience on the West Coast. The 2014 World Cup theme is inspired by the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament set to take place in Brazil this June. Brazilian Carnaval is open to all ages and will include nonstop floor entertainment and dancing, along with a variety of live music and authentic Brazilian cuisine.
For the sixth year in a row, Joany Macias and her LA Samba Dancers will be among the night’s featured performers. Wearing traditional Samba costumes adorned with vibrantly colored feathers and beaded sequins, the dance troupe will bring Brazilian culture to life through Samba. The authentic, sensual moves of the Passitas (Samba dancers), combined with the pulsating beat of Samba music, will transport all in attendance to the lively streets of the Brazilian party.
