The Second Annual JLMF Hike-A-Thon

Zurich, Switzerland, February 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The JLMF is proud to announce their second annual Hike-A-Thon fund raising event. On Saturday, July 5th at 8 a.m., hiking teams will gather in Bannalp Chruetzhuette, to trek across the beautiful Swiss backcountry, the Walenpfad/Walen Trail, or the "Swiss Cableway Trail," as it's known, towards the finish destination of Engelberg. The four hour hike is full of beautiful panorama vistas and meadows. The trail is beautiful, but requires medium technique and good physical condition, as the course's difficulty is graded at (2+.) At the end of the hike, the winning team will be rewarded with a trophy and complimentary lunch at the Bergrestaurant Ristis.

Team registration begins on Monday May 5th, and ends on Friday June 27th. The registration fee is 10(CHF) per team. Teams can email their registration information through our Contact Us page here on the website complete with: team name, number of team members, and mailing and phone contact information. The registration fees can be paid via the mountain icon here on the website's homepage. After registering, each team's leader will be contacted by a member of the JLM's volunteer-staff, and they will receive their registration packets electronically or via post, dependent upon which they prefer. All proceeds from the Hike-A-Thon will support at the Forum Lungenkrebs/Forum Lung Cancer.
